ART BLOG is run by a team of volunteers. We post about events and exhibitions, contemporary art and crafts, the history of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, and much more…
As one of the oldest art societies and artist-led charities in the UK, the RBSA promotes engagement with the visual arts and seeks to support artists.
We are also an Accredited Museum, due to our extensive Archive and Permanent Collection. Our former presidents include Edward Burne-Jones and Lawrence Alma-Tadema.
Why not sign up to receive regular email updates from the RBSA?
Education is an important part of the Society’s activities. There’s an exciting programme of exhibitions, workshops, open events, and demonstrations throughout the year.
The Society owns and runs the RBSA Gallery, a fully accessible exhibition space just off St Paul’s Square, near Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. The gallery is a short walk or tram ride from the city centre.
Admission to all our exhibitions is free. We look forward to welcoming you to the Gallery.
